1. Video Access
Videos of past training can be rented for access, either through an arrangement with the training coordinator or through the registration on webpage checklists or registration links provided by the Training Department. Access entails two week’s access (i.e. 14 days) to the training content. The purchase fee and specials listed entail access to one single email address for viewing the content. After the access has elapsed, the video link will be closed. Videos will not be reopened without a strong written motivation for why the content was not viewed in the allocated time.
Please note that videos cannot be pre-purchased before their live presentation. This is because we cannot ensure a recording of the talk if technical difficulties result in a distorted or incomplete recording.
Videos will run for two weeks from the day that the Training Department opens them, and NOT from the day that the viewer opens the link. Videos will only be shared to a Gmail (Google Email / @gmail.com) address. There is absolutely no exception to this, under any motivation. If a viewer does not have a free Gmail address, we encourage them to create one to view the content.
Once a link is shared, an email will be sent to the viewer to confirm that the link has been shared. It is the viewer’s responsibility to check that the video link has 1) come through to their email address and 2) that it is playing properly. We cannot guarantee that a video viewing will be reopened if we have not been informed in a timely matter that there is a difficulty with your link, or if the video has already lapsed before we are informed.
Summary
Any formal arrangements must be made directly with the Training Department only.
Videos are open for two weeks [14 days] from the day the link is sent out.
Videos will only be shared to a Gmail address (i.e. Google email / @gmail.com address) without exception.
Any queries or arrangements can be made to training@neurodiversitycentre.co.za.
2. Accreditation
Certificates may be for 1) attendance or 2) CPD accreditation, depending on the training in question.
CPD accreditation will always be explicitly mentioned in all advertising materials for a talk. CPD accreditation will NEVER appear on advertisements or registration forms for a talk that is not accredited thusly. Attendees cannot claim they are owed accreditation or were misled with regards to a talk unless they can provide concrete proof that they were promised (within our advertising and registration forms) that a talk was promised to provide upfront CPD accreditation. Private agreements (outside of discussion with the Training Department or advertising materials released by the Training Department) do not constitute proof.
Accreditation may be by completion of multiple-choice question tests, with a 70% pass rate. The CPD certificate will then only be issued if the attendee achieves the 70% mark. The attendee is allowed 2 attempts, as per accreditor specifications, to achieve 70%.
CPD talks are accredited by the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) for healthcare workers.
Please note that CPD talks at the NDC receive clearance from an accreditor tasked to do so by the HPCSA. As per current HPCSA guidelines, training is accredited for specific professional fields (Medical and Mental Health Practitioners) – but other registered professionals may benefit from training credits if (and only if) the content of the training is relevant to their scope of practice. If you are not registered with the HPCSA, it is your responsibility to ensure that you can transfer or gain recognition of continued professional development by your own regulating body. In this regard, the NDC does not assure you that your credits will be validated by professional boards outside the HPCSA or by professionals practicing outside the scope of the talk content.
Attendance certificates will only be handed out if we have advertised a special to this end. They will NOT be handed out if such a promise was not made in the advertising.
Summary:
CPD points are only available for talks that expressly advertise them.
CPD points are only awarded if the viewer succeeds in the assessments at 70%+ within 2 attempts.
We do not guarantee that your points will be validated if you do not fall within the necessary HPSCA accreditation categories.
