PART 2 FOLLOW-UP
Practical Engagement with Childhood PDA
PDA/EDA is a neurodevelopmental profile of extreme demand anxiety in the face of expectations and pressure. It represents one of the most difficult constellations of difficulties to intervene on in developmental psychiatry.
Historically identified as a profile of autism, it is now being noted across broader neurodevelopmental conditions. Understanding is vital, as traditional autism-based strategies are ill-advised for PDA, and instead a different toolbox is needed to support such individuals.
