NEURO-INFORMED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORK
What is Neuro-affirming Social Work?
Social Work at the Neurodiversity Centre helps neurodivergent people feel validated, seen and heard through their lived experiences, offering holistic support on their journey of accessing their most authentic self and reaching their full potential.
Support strategies and plans are created with every care in mind to view the family system as a whole, and we assist in putting these into practice. Social Work offers a safe therapeutic space, with practical advice and guidance and a deep understanding of neurodivergent needs, irrespective of gender, culture, belief system or lifestyle.
Social Work forms part of our Clinical Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), offering an additional lens drawn from international and local Social Work perspectives, together with an in-depth understanding of other disciplines and modalities of practice. The result is well-rounded support plans in line with each client’s best interests.
